Welcome
Our Lady of Lourdes began as a small chapel at Katemanavli, blessed in 1887. Today it is a parish of around 3,000 people, cared for by the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament (SSS). Families here have prayed together for generations, and everyone is welcome.

1. Today is the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time. 2.We thank the St. Luke (Lok Group) zone for animating today’s liturgy. 3. Due to the Bandra Fair, tomorrow the Eucharist will be held at: 7.30 am (Marathi) 9.00 am (English ). There will be no children’s Mass. 4. Monday, 14th September, we will celebrate the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Tuesday, 15th Sept., we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. 5. The Marathi Committee Group is organizing a gathering for Bandra Fair on Sunday, 20th September 2026. Bus departure is at 7.00 am from KDMC D- Ward. The contribution is Rs. 500 per person, including breakfast, lunch and bus travel. Please register your names to Marathi committee member Mrs Kunda Lokhande before 15th of September. 6. Next Sunday, 20th September, Eucharist will be animated by the Infant Jesus (Tisgaon) at the 8.30 am Mass. 7. On Sunday, 18th October, we will celebrate Mission Sunday. Zonal animators are requested to confirm their food stall requirements before 26th of September2026. 8.The Parish Youth are organising an Indoor Sports Tournament on Sunday, 27th September 2026 in the Church Hall, and all parishes of Thane Deanery are invited to participate. The tournament will feature Table Tennis, Carrom, and Chess, with a registration fee of Rs. 200 per game. Exciting cash prizes and trophies await the winners! We encourage everyone, especially our youth, to register, participate, and spread the word. It promises to be a fun-filled event, so do take part and help make it a grand success! 9. A pre-baptismal course will be conducted at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kalyan (West), in the month of October 2026. Both parents and god-parents are required to attend this session. This course is compulsory. Those who wish to attend the course are kindly requested to register their names at the Kalyan West Parish office. 10. The Bible Commission of Thane Deanery is organizing the Bible Quiz on the Pentateuch- “Five Scrolls” on Sunday, 20th September 2026, from 3.30 pm to 7.00 pm at St. Pius X School Hall. All are invited to participate. The Quiz will be held next week in our parish. 11. The Priest will be available for confession on Fridays and Saturdays at 6.00 pm.

1. Today is the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time. 2. We celebrate the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady on Tuesday, 8th September. It is also the day of the Girl Child. That day we pray in a very special way for all the girls of our parish. The Rosary will be prayed at 6.25 pm, followed by Mass. 3. The Parish Pastoral Council will have its meeting tomorrow/today after the 9.00 am Eucharist. 4. Next Sunday, 13th September Eucharist will be animated by the St. Luke (Lok Group) zone at 8.30 am Mass. 5. Sunday School will not be held next Sunday, 13th September, on account of the Bandra - Mount Mary’s Feast. Therefore, the 9.30 am Mass stands cancel. 6. The Priest will be available for confession on Fridays and Saturdays at 6.00 pm. 7.The Bible Commission of Thane Deanery is organizing the Bible Quiz on the Pentateuch- “Five Scrolls” on Sunday, 20th September 2026, from 3.30 pm to 7.00 pm at St. Pius X School Hall. All are invited to participate. The Quiz will be held next week in our parish. 8. The Parish team will begin their family visit to the St. Jude’s Community (Kolsewadi) zone from this week. We request the zonal coordinators to guide and assist us. They will communicate the day of the visit to the respective places.

1. Today is the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. 2. The novena in preparation for the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady is underway. The Rosary is being prayed at 6.25 pm, followed by the Novena Mass at 6.45 pm. The list of offerings for each day of the Novena has been displayed on the Church Notice Board. 3. During the Novena days, regular Sunday School children will be rewarded. 4. On Thursday, 03rd September, there will not be the Eucharist in the morning; there will be the Novena Eucharist in the evening, 5. Next Sunday, 6th of September, Mass will be at 7:30 a.m. in Marathi and 9:00 a.m. in English. There will be no Children's Mass. 6. Sunday School will be held as usual at 8:30 a.m., but attendance will be taken only for half an hour. 7.
